Finding suitable care and accommodation for yourself or an elderly loved one can be a daunting process. We understand this and encourage people to come and visit the home with friends or relatives and share your concerns with us. We will endeavour to reassure you and answer your questions and give you time to see around the home to satisfy yourselves that the home and its ambience is to your liking.

Prior to admission the registered manager will undertake a pre-assessment for each prospective resident to determine their specific needs and preferences. This can also be carried out in the resident's own home or in hospital if it proves difficult to visit the home.

For prospective long-term residents, the first four weeks of their stay is regarded as a trial period. This gives people time to settle in and decide whether they are happy to stay at Carnalea.

We encourage people to bring in any personal posessions that they choose, to make their rooms individual and familiar to them. We will endeavour to accommodate favourite pieces of furniture wherever possible.
